Akshay announced as brand ambassador for Grasim (17/05/07)

Country's premier apparel company, Grasim Suiting a flagship of Aditya Birla Group, launched their new brand ambassador, Akshay Kumar, in the capital today. Known for its top quality men's collection, the company intends to reach further heights in excellence. "Grasim today stands for superb quality, innovation and style" said S. Krishnamoorthy Textile Division President Grasim Industries. He further spoke of the veteran actor as being "suave and charismatic" and epitomizing the "Grasim brand's ideology of the power of fashion" thus was perfect for the part of brand ambassador.

Adding to Akshay's role towards the brand Krishnamoorthy stated "Akshay as a brand ambassador willplay a significant part in our lager stratergic move to make the brand develop a more mass and universal appeal. Having conquered the metros, we are now moving into smaller towns and citieswhere consumers find strong link between fashion style and icons."

The announcement was preceded with a fashion show by the finalist of Grasim Mr. India, showcasing a range of its products like Plural, Caramel, Medova, Ice Touch, Freedom, Venetia and Juventus.
